Animal Experimentation

Animal testing or in vivo experimentation is the use of animals in scientific experiments. It is estimated that between 50 and 100 million vertebrate animals of various species are used each year. An estimate of the number of rats and mice used in the United States in 2001 put it at 80 million. Most are euthanized after being used in an experiment, one of the many controversial reasons in this regard. Companies sacrifice them even knowing that they are the most important thing and nothing has been done about it yet.

Cruelty Free International explains that toxicity testing involves dosing animals to see how much of a chemical or drug is needed to cause serious harm, in an attempt to gauge what "safe" dose might be for humans.

These tests are extremely painful, stressful and invasive, most of these animals are euthanized after using them in an experiment.

 1.
✅ we should not buy products tested on animals, for this to check you can check if they have any seal like these:

❌ But in the case of cosmetics, they do not have such detailed information and we need to know the social and environmental impact of the things we buy

 2.
✅ We must reduce or eradicate the purchase of tobacco, since one of the practices that laboratories to test tobacco carry out is to tie masks with straps to the faces of mice, monkeys and dogs, to force them to breathe tobacco smoke constantly.

❌ However, there are many people who are addicted to tobacco and the more they smoke, the more nicotine they need to feel normal.

3.
✅ We should not buy unnecessary products, that is, eradicate consumerism, because most products for human consumption are tested on animals.

❌ However, there are many people who are compulsive shoppers and do not realize that what they do has a much more significant background, so we should leave behind all those unnecessary habits

4.
✅ If we carry out these actions, the rate of experimentation in animals could be reduced

❌ If we do not reduce all these actions from now on, later we could experience an environmental catastrophe, which would end the lives of thousands of species and hundreds of ecosystems
